Lightest photoshop version? CS2 to CS5?

So I really hate it how some versions of phtooshop are so bloated that they slow down my comp, I was wondering which of the versions is the lightest on the CPU, I just want to do basic stuff. I've been using CS2 for a while...but yea wanted some input to see whether upgrading was worth it, considering the current prices
